Why adults come to Jen for strength
- You want to get strong but big commercial gyms put you off
- Previous programs left you sore, injured or bored
- You want strength that shows up in real life, not just on a machine
- You have been told to lift for bone density, back health or ageing well
- You want expert eyes on your technique, every single rep
The bells are in the name
Hell's Bells Fitness is named for the kettlebell, and for good reason. In the right hands it is one of the best strength tools ever made: swings, carries, presses and get-ups that build hips, grip, posture and a back that can handle real life.
Jen is a certified kettlebell and sports coach with more than 42 years in the industry. Training is one on one or in small personalised groups of up to four, in a private Ballajura studio. No queues for equipment, no egos, no cookie-cutter programming: just progressive strength work matched to your assessment, your history and your goals.
And because every program follows the assess-restore-function-strength method, the load only goes up when your movement is ready for it. That is how clients keep training with Jen for 14 years and counting.

Strength training FAQs
I have never lifted weights. Is this for me?
Yes. Most clients at Hell's Bells Fitness are everyday adults, not gym veterans. Every program starts with a movement assessment, and load is only added once your movement can support it, so beginners are exactly who this approach is built for.
Why kettlebells?
Kettlebells train strength, movement and conditioning in one tool. The swing, carry and get-up patterns build hips, grip, posture and a resilient back, and they scale from complete beginner to advanced. Jen is a certified kettlebell coach and has taught these lifts for decades.
I am worried lifting will hurt my back or joints.
Sensible strength training protects joints rather than wearing them out. Because Jen restores movement before adding load, you lift in positions your body can actually support. Progressive strength work is one of the best defences against back pain, osteoporosis and age-related muscle loss.
